My ideal holiday will be in Paris as i see the beautiful buildings and savour the lifestyle of the rich. I will stay in a plush hotel and be served by humble waiters while i eat exotic food. However, Last year, my trip to Bali was total different. I stayed in a chalet which had the simplest furniture. A basic fireplace for us to cook and a clean bathroom for daily shower and wash. I was disappointed at first but then I realize I was wrong.
I went to the trip with my friends, they were fantastic, On the first day, we decided to stay in the chalet for the rest of the day as it was about to reach nighttime. Thus, we cooked our our meal and shared our food.In the same time, we also talked about the things in our daily lives.Samuel, one of my friends would strum the guitar and everyone would dance and sing along after we had our dinner. Our singing were out of tune and our dances would not won us any prizes but that did not matter.
The next day, we got up at dawn to climb the mountain as Cheryl, one of my friends as well wanted to try. While climbing the mountain, we heard the birds chirping on top of the tree.It was a tough climb but Cheryl kept pushing us to go on. She was a great person, she always making sure that we were fine. We encouraged each other not to give up. After reaching the top of the mountain, we felt like it was worth. It was a breathtaking scenery and the cool crisp air had refresh our body and mind.
On the evening, we walked along the beach to watch the brilliant sunset. We were expecting the sunset like our country however we were mistaken. It was almost magical, sitting on the white sands while watching the bright orange red sun dip into the ocean. we lay on the sands listening to the beat of the waves. The beach was not very noisy as if the people on the beach were also charmed by the moment.
As for our dinner, we tried their local delicacy. We walking along the stalls that lined both side of the streets and bought some clothes that looked good on us. The people there were warm and friendly.
It was a great holiday, just what i needed before my school reopens. If I was given another chance to go to Bali, I would go with my family. Neko :)
Why do i feel like half of this stuff didn't even happen.
